HT is a highly experienced construction professional, trainer and dispute resolution practitioner with over 35 years of experience in the construction industry.  He has conducted numerous conferences, seminars, workshops and webinar training programmes for professional institutions, government agencies and private organisations, both locally and internationally.

He is a certified Master Trainer and has been a regular speaker on construction contracts, ADR, risk management and value management.  He has also lectured part-time for bachelor's and master's degree programme in related fields.

Over 35 years' experience in the construction industry, covering a wide range of projects including civil engineering works, hihg- and low-rise buildings, hotels, airports, mixed developments, industrial facilities, petrochemical plants, power stations, railways and infrastructure projects.

Extensive experience in pre and post-contract quantity surveying, commercial and contractual administration and management across diverse construction sectors. Highly experienced in dispute resolution, including roles as:  Arbitrator, Mediator, Adjudicator, Expert (Quantum), Party Counsel and Negotiator

Has been involved in numerous disputes relating to construction claims, including loss and expense, variations, delays and contractual issues, providing advisory and support for documentation and proceedings.

Registered Consultant Quantity Surveyor (CQS) in Malaysia and Accredited Professional Quantity Surveyor in Singapore specialising in quantity surveying services.  A pioneered Value-Managed Quality System (VMQS), integrating value management principles into organisational quality systems to enhance efficiency and performance.

 

 

Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) specialist

Panel member of several ADR institutions and actively been involved in arbitration and adjudication, including being qualified in mediation.
